Study shows Music linked to Personality

Found this little article from the BBC about a researcher who profiled various fans of different genres. He found metal fans weren’t depressed and on edge like many people seem to assume but more likely to have low self-esteem but easy-going, creative, and gentle. And that they share alot with classical and opera fans. I think may of us have thought such things before but here’s some scientific legitimacy. Cool little audio interview included on the page. Check it out.

  1. I note that there is no profile for “grown women who listen to chilren’s music, such as the Muppets, Lazytown songs, and the Katamari soundtracks”. But if there was one, it would describe such a person as “awesome, awesome, pretty and smells nice”.
