After Craft Saturday, Dani and I wandered all over Des Moines in order to kill time before the Vintage Vitae Grand Opening. At 6ish, we finally meandered over and I consumed more than my fair share of cookie lumps and the best pumpkin bars ever.
VV represents a collective of designers, jewelers and artists in a small shop on Grand at Western Gateway Park in downtown DSM. The owners stock screenprinted tees (from our friends at Nightmare City!), totally original creations and repurposed vintage materials. You can also see original artwork–currently featuring Amy Wendt. It’s a stylish way to buy local.
