Authentic Records proudly announces The Josh Davis Band’s third release, Get Awesome, an album that truly defines itself.The foot-stomping rockers hail from Des Moines and share their label home with fellow Iowan rockers The Nadas. Although they’re often likened to bands within the Texas alt-country Red Dirt scene, The Josh Davis Band does not focus on their Southern cousins; they are true to their Iowa roots and damn proud of ‘em.
Josh Davis, lead singer, guitarist and songwriter, continues to write tunes about seemingly mundane events that happen to him. “You are all my muse,” says Davis, “and we’re in this game because we’re the real deal.” Unpredictable, loud and rough around the edges, The Josh Davis Band will tour the Midwest and South in an effort to promote their latest release.
