Art of Fashion - Runway Show Video

So a couple of new things with this post. A new video, of course. We’re also trying a new video service, blip.tv. We figured that a lot of folks might want to share and embed this video since so many designers and models were involved. So, we used the blip.tv service to host this vid. Let us know how you like it, how it plays for you, and PLEASE leave a comment with a link if you embed or link to it somewhere so we can see how it looks! Finally, we’re also trying out some new tunes from Porno Galactica. They are involved with the Yellow Elephant designers and had a great track during the fashion show. We contacted them and grabbed their track “Fake Skin” to be the soundtrack for this video. If you’re in a band and would like to get your music featured in a Rock Iowa video, hit us up.

Now without further ado, we present the Art of Fashion runway show video from the 2008 Des Moines tattoo Festival. I did the editing and one of the cameras, and our good friend Moses ran the other camera.

Scott Kubie

Scott Kubie is a producer and videographer from Blair, Nebraska. He received a BA in Journalism from Drake University. While at Drake, Scott began Rock Iowa as a student television program. He served as President of Student Activities and booked concerts and entertainment for the student body. He later served on the board of directors for the Greater Des Moines Music Coalition and was appointed their Executive Director. Currently, Scott is co-owner of The Revue Creative, a video marketing and event planning agency with his partner, Keri. He volunteers for the DMMC and lives in the Drake neighborhood.

Sorry Magpie! Rock Iowa has nothing but love for you and all the designers, but unfortunately we didn’t make it over to the fashion show until right when Savedeth started. We were all over the place at the Tattoo Festival and it started before we knew what was going on. PLEASE let us know if you’ve got any other events or showings coming up and we’ll be happy to come get some video and make good

Ang,
There’s a funky little sideways “V” on the video player. When you click that, a box pops up and there is an embed tab on the bottom. Then the code will pop up. Copy and paste that thing where you like.
