Guaranteed Good Times: March 26th – April 1st
Here’s My Chance CD Release Party (with The Finest and TBA)
House of Bricks – Friday, March 27th, 5:00 pm – All Ages – $8, $6 advance (Rock/Pop Punk)
Even if you are not a fan of this type of music, you cannot deny the fact these guys are good at what they do. Des Moines’ Here’s My Chance are starting off their forty-eight state tour with a CD release party for their EP, Through the Towns, this Friday at The House of Bricks. The band has already opened for several national acts, including The Plain White T’s and Meg & Dia, but list opening for Kelly Clarkson at the Iowa State Fair as one of their goals. Let’s send these boys off properly with a large crowd for this show! Also lending their talents for the night are The Finest and another act, to be announced.
Tigercity (with Electronidoll and Porno Galactica)
Vaudeville Mews – Monday, March 30th, 7:30 pm – Showtime: 8:00 pm – All Ages – $10 (pop/rock/indie)
Rolling Stone says Tigercity is an “artist to watch.” So do I. Especially if you like to rock and dance-simultaneously. Hailing from Brooklyn, Tigercity will wow you with their new wave and disco inspired indie rock. Seriously, if you go to this show and don’t find yourself shaking your butt at some point, something must be wrong with you. Also be prepared to be impressed by the occasional falsetto from vocalist Bill Gillim. SERIOUSLY AMAZING. It will be an evening of dance-y amazingness, as supporting acts Electronidoll and Porno Galactica are also sure to get you moving.

I’m glad you features the Jake Dilley . He’s been a completely unique performer in the Iowa area. Putting out good recorded albums and doing special shows backing films. Definitely someone to check if you’re never seen him in action.
And Yak Ballz!
